Internal magazine: Globetrotter

An internal magazine for the whole world

An internal magazine for the whole world

Well, maybe not the whole world. But at least for the people around the world working for Volvo Trucks in more than 100 countries. Globetrotter is designed to give employees a common image of what Volvo Trucks stands for.

Recognizing accomplishments

Recognizing accomplishments

A large part of Globetrotter is dedicated to recognizing employees who have done something exceptional. Their stories are plucked from around the world and showcase employee achievements in everything from successful projects, to new and more effective working methods to community involvement. The idea is to inspire others to follow in their footsteps. At Volvo Trucks and other companies, this is often referred to as “best practice.” At Tidningskompaniet, we simply call it good stories for the internal magazine.

Award-winning design

Award-winning design

Design is important for Volvo Trucks and the Volvo brand. This means that it’s also important for Globetrotter. Scandinavian design – light, airy and stylistically pure – is reflected in the magazine. And it’s not only Volvo employees who appreciate the magazine’s design. In 2007, Globetrotter received the Swedish Design Award in the category “Editorial Print – Internal Magazine.”

How YOU build the brand!

How YOU build the brand!

First out with seat belts, on the front line of environmental initiatives, cutting-edge technology, high quality and low fuel consumption – Volvo trucks lay the foundation for what the Volvo brand stands for in the truck sector. But the brand consists of so much more, like the service each customer receives and how employees represent the company to others. Representing the company in the right way requires access to the right information. Globetrotter ensures Volvo Trucks employees get this information.

Trucks to be proud of

Trucks to be proud of

Volvo trucks play a part in much more than you – and many Volvo Trucks employees – may realize. They get the mail delivered in Australia. They help Hollywood’s film crews get their equipment to filming locations. They make sure transports run smoothly during the UEFA European Football Championships. And so on. These are important stories in Globetrotter. They generate pride in the company and also demonstrate the extensive range of Volvo Trucks customers.
