Piratförlaget.se – a place for book lovers

The Piratförlaget publishing house has a vision. Their site should be more than a place to promote their authors. It should be a place for everyone who likes books and literature. We help them produce and publish content that is worth reading for Piratförlaget.se. Some articles are about Jan Guillou, Liza Marklund and other Swedish authors, others are about the world of books from a wider perspective.

Five times the number of visitors

Five times the number of visitors

When the content of a site improves it receives better results from search engines. You get more links to the site and more readers. The equation is really quite simple – all you need to do is produce content that people find interesting. Piratförlaget.se has more than five times the number of visitors today compared to when we first started creating its content.

Smarter and better

Smarter and better

In spring 2009 Tidningskompaniet came up with a new concept for Piratförlaget’s website. Together with a web bureau we redesigned the site over the summer. With the new design and new functions it is easier for visitors to find interesting material, more enjoyable to read the articles, and easy to share material from the site on different social media.

An employee at Piratförlaget interested in social media wanted to try the micro-blog Twitter. He now has hundreds of readers following his updates about the book industry and Piratförlaget’s activities. Through Twitter he attracts visitors to Piratförlaget.se – and vice versa. Piratförlaget has found a forum where they can quickly and easily communicate with readers.

Do not disturb!

Do not disturb!

Authors do not want to be disturbed while they are writing their next book. Thanks to regular editorial meetings with Piratförlaget we can – usually – avoid calling for an interview exactly when an author is writing the last chapter of their forthcoming bestseller. A close cooperation between Tidningskompaniet and Piratförlaget is the key.

Spreading the content

Spreading the content

On Piratförlaget.se you can subscribe to all of the articles through RSS feeds. Twitter updates and newsletters are other ways of spreading the content of the site to readers. Succeeding online is no longer just about attracting readers to your site, but is just as much about offering the content in all the ways readers want it.
