Customer magazines
Award-winning and effective customer magazines
Sure, we’ll gladly win prizes. But even more important is the measurable effect.
We want to know everything about our readers
Good magazine publishers don’t just guess what the readers want. They know. Good marketing managers don’t just guess whether their customer magazine is a good investment. They know. Which is why it’s natural for us at Tidningskompaniet to love surveys. Every year we organize numerous surveys and focus groups to learn more about our customers’ target groups. This is how we put into action one of our core values, measuring the effectiveness of our products for customers.
If the walls could talk...
Well, of course they can’t. Talk, that is. But if Tidningskompaniet’s walls could speak, they’d say that we produce Sweden’s best customer magazines. And the awards hanging on these very walls in our offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg from various creative competitions back up that claim. The magazine for the GöteborgsVarvet half-marathon has twice been named best customer magazine of the year in the consumer category, while Volvo Trucks’ transport magazine has been named best customer magazine, business to business. In all, we have received 63 nominations and 11 awards for our customer magazines from 2004 to 2009 – more than any other custom publisher.

Check out our customer magazines
Volvo Trucks and GöteborgsVarvet are not alone in trusting Tidningskompaniet to produce their customer magazines. We also produce customer magazines for SEB, technical consultancy company Semcon, Stena Line and mobile operator 3. Click on the links to read more about these companies’ magazines. For a quick overview, we recommend the slideshow where we have compiled a few great pages from selected publications.
In English, please!
No problem. Tidningskompaniet’s most international production – a customer magazine for Volvo Trucks designed for truckers all over the world – is published in over 40 languages. A growing number of our customer magazines are originally produced in English and are not even published in a Swedish version.
Tagged for the task
We love it when print and digital media crossbreed. And we’re not afraid of trying new things. One concrete example of this is our customer magazine for mobile operator 3, where we've equipped the printed version of the magazine with QR tags. Take a photo of these tags with a mobile phone to watch online video clips right on your phone.
No customer magazine is stronger than its weakest pen
Tidningskompaniet produces over 25 customer magazines. One is about running, another about banking services, yet another about mobile Internet services – and so on. To make great magazines in such a wide range of subjects, we rely on our network of journalists and photographers around the world – each with their own specific area of expertise. Our database of freelancers is a cherished possession that is updated and maintained by everyone.
From A to Z
Transferred to the magazine world, this saying might read: “From idea to press.” But the meaning is the same – we can handle every aspect of a magazine project. We like developing new magazine concepts just as much as we like producing them from issue to issue. And we’re not ashamed of our obsession for order. We love schedules (almost) as much as we love a good headline.
